Bending resistance

Bending strength  is the maximum load applied at three points that the tile can bear without breaking. The level is expressed in N/mm2 and ISO 10545/4 standard defines the minimum acceptable settings. For a sufficient bending resistance certain thicknesses are required depending on the use of the tile.
For Residential purposes and swimming pools 8mm is sufficient.
For public inside areas, supermarkets, industrial kitchens and restaurants tiles with a thickness of 8 (30x30) to12mm can be used. Areas in the chemical and food industry, laboratories, deep freezers will need a min. thickness of 12 to 18mm depending on the use.
